Surface Treatment

• The surface must be clean, dry, smooth and solid.
• Particles hampering adhesion like dirt, oil and paint must be removed from the surface.
• Before grouting, wait until the adhesive has completely set.
• The joint should be completely free from residues that may prevent adhesion. The depth between the joints should be at least 2/3 of the ceramic thickness.
• When using materials with high coating absorbance, while applying in hot and windy weather, the joints should be moistened with clean water.

Application

• Slowly pour 5 kg DRZ-300 powder into 1.25-1.625lt water and thoroughly mix it with a low-speed mixer until it becomes a smooth, homogeneous substance. Excess or insufficient amounts of water can cause cracking, low abrasion resistance and colour defects.
• Rest the prepared mortar for 5-10 minutes and stir it again for 1-2 minutes before application.
• The mortar should be spread on the surface and filled with the rubber spatula with cross movements to the tile spacing’s and the excess must be removed from the surface.
• When the mixture loses its plasticity and becomes matt, usually after 10-20 minutes, clean the surface with a damp sponge working in a circular motion.

Shelf Life

• Shelf life of an unopened package stored in a dry, cool place is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Warnings and Recommendations

• Colour fluctuation may occur when wiping is performed before due time or by using an excessively wet sponge. Sponge should be cleaned at regular intervals.
• When DRZ-300 is dry enough not to drag from the joints, any residue left can be cleaned from the surface with a clean dry cloth.
• When applied on very hot, dry and windy conditions, it is advisable to sprinkle water on a few hours after application to improve the final performance.
• Do not breathe the powder or contact with skin or eyes as it is cement-based.
• After application, hands and applications tools should be thoroughly washed with water.
